BARAMULLA: Minister for R&B, Syed Altaf Bukhari today visited various areas of Baramulla district including Wagoora, Shrakwara, Pachhar, Chandoosa, Sheeri, Kalantra and took stock of losses occurred due to heavy rains in the district including roads and bridges. The Minister directed concerned officers to ensure timely repairs of all roads and bridges which have been got damaged due to recent rains. He also took stock of situation arisen after land erosion in various areas of the district. He assured that all affectees would be provided relief from the Government.
He said Government is committed to ensure safety of life and property of the people and as a matter fact administration remain always alert. The Minister directed the concerned officers to provide all amenities to the people and further streamline the power and water supply, besides public distribution system. He also urged the concerned officers to ensure proper dewatering in water logged areas so that people do not feel any inconvenience. During the visit various public deputations met the Minister and highlighted their issues. The Minister heard them patiently and assured them of every possible help from the Government.
