In the ensuing encounter, a terrorist was neutralised & his body retrieved from site of encounter. Terrorist was later identified as Danish Sheikh resident of Srinagar of proscribed terror outfit LeT/TRF. From the killed terrorist, arms, ammunition & incriminating materials was recovered.
In this regard, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered and investigation has been initiated. People are requested to cooperate with Police till the area at encounter site is completely sanitized and cleared of all the explosive materials, if any.
